The Physical Education program at 色花堂 is aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. Students learn fundamental skills and engage in games to develop both individually and as part of a team. These lessons aim is to equip students with the necessary skills and confidence to maintain a healthy lifestyle beyond thier experiences at school.
All students are encouraged to do their personal best, based on goals that they set. The Senior Learning House students take part in Interschool Sports on Thursdays during Terms 1 and 2, competing against other schools in the Noble Park Primary Sports District. The students compete in a wide variety of sports such as netball, basketball, softball, tennis, cricket, football, soccer, volleyball, rookie rollers and rugby across the two terms. We also have a yearly intensive swimming program where studnets attend daily lessons over a two week period.
The Visual Arts program at 色花堂 is aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. In 2026, 色花堂 has combined Visual Art and Performing Arts. This has created powerful opportunities for students to engage in creative, multidisciplinary learning. By exploring the connections between the disciplines students can develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of both subjects through creative activities, cultural exploration and opportunities for reflection and performance.
The Science and Sustainability program at 色花堂 is aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. Weekly lessons encourage students in critical and creative thinking to experience the wonder of the world through a science lens. Through the inquiry process students acquire scientific knowledge and refine their understanding of the impact of science on culture. They make informed choices at a local, national and international level in their quest to become better global citizens.
The Middle Learning House students also have opportunity to plant fruit and vegetables in the Kitchen Garden and cook recipes that include the produce that is grown.
The Language program at 色花堂 is aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. The primary goal is to help the students confidently communicate in Chinese while discovering the fascinating connections between language and culture. Through engaging and interactive learning, students will build essential intercultural capabilities, learning to embrace and respect different perspectives. Along this language journey, they will also be encouraged to understand themselves as communicators, gaining the confidence to express their unique voices and identities in our diverse community.
